Third Generation Phones Print E-mail
3G phones, just what does that mean? Technically 3G means 3rd generation. As technology has evolved, the communications world has definitely taken advantage of, and pushed things to their limits. Cell phones, mobile phones, hand held mini computers, are all common place now. What used to be a cellular telephone used for emergencies or to call and check in, is now as powerful as the computers were just ten years ago. 3G gives people the ability to be on a phone call with a friend, and at the same time look up the information on the movie they are planning to see. 3G is much faster, and has more capacity when it comes to using the internet than any of the 2nd generations, including the 2.5 and 2.75G. Of course the downside to all this technological innovation is that just as you are getting used to what all you can do with 3G; 4G will be out, giving you even more options. 4G is available now; in very limited markets is Sweden and Norway. This will take owning a cellular device to all new heights; it will really be a mini computer.
